Why we exist.
Private Villa Hunters started with a simple observation: buying property abroad is broken for foreign buyers.
Most international buyers spend months scrolling through listings, fly across continents for disappointing viewings, and end up paying retail for properties that don't fit. The agents they meet represent the sellers. The lawyers they hire don't speak their language. The off-market inventory — where the best homes trade — is invisible without local relationships.
We built the service we wished existed when we started buying abroad ourselves. One trusted partner. One point of contact. End-to-end. On your side, never the seller's.
Today, we work with international buyers — investors, second-home buyers, and people relocating their lives — across Portugal, Spain, France, Morocco and Mauritius. Each destination has its own on-the-ground team. Every client has one dedicated lead through the entire search.
We take on a limited number of clients each year. We turn down more enquiries than we accept. That's by design — we'd rather work with fewer clients well than many badly.

We never accept commission from sellers, developers, or agents. You are the only person paying us. That means our advice is honest, even when it's inconvenient — sometimes the best property is the one we tell you to walk away from.

Our clients are private. So is their search. We don't publish testimonials, post addresses, or share what we find with anyone outside the engagement. NDAs are standard. Trust is earned and protected.
Local fluency
We work with locals who know the neighbourhood, the notary, the right builder, the wrong agent. Cross-border deals need cross-border trust — and that's built one introduction at a time.
Long-term thinking
We're not in this for the transaction. Most of our clients come back for a second property — or refer us to friends. That only happens if the first deal worked. So we treat every search like it's the start of a 10-year relationship.
